This spring has been a time of renewal for the project. Now that the sunny days are here, we're happy to be able to show you all the changes that took place during this budding phase!
There's no way we could show you everything in this 14th edition of the Acornia devlogs. But here's a little preview anyway!

A new area has been fully modeled for the game's introduction sequence. Special care has been given to its lighting and, more generally, to its atmosphere. This is what hides beneath the leaves of the Great Tree, the Underwood.
If Alva wants to return to Acornia, her home village, this is the way she must go.

However, this damp and shady forest is even gloomier than usual. The muddy path has seen better days, and strange roots stubbornly block the travelers' road.
The doors of the houses belonging to the inhabitants who are supposed to live there remain shut.
Yet, it is right in the heart of this hostile atmosphere that our heroine will meet one of her most precious allies…

Even though there's still much to do to lift the veil on the Great Tree's illness and to rebuild Acornia, life goes on.
Spring has only just begun, and some time after Alva's arrival, the first Flower Festival is in full swing.

Come morning, the ground is carpeted with petals of every color. By collecting enough of them, Alva can make lovely flower pots and decorate the village.

Some petals are rarer than others, and Kinsei, the chzf who organized the festival, will reward our heroine with delicious spring recipes if she makes the effort to find them.
Like all seasonal events, the Flower Festival sees the Tree become covered in thematic decorations while special music plays.
The Flower Festival isn't the only event that has been set up these past few months… But we'll reveal more about the others in future devlogs!

For a game as rich as Acornia, with its multiple management, collection, inventory, and combat systems, the interface needs to be flawless.
It must help players understand the many mechanics, while also being easy to navigate, on both controller and keyboard/mouse, in this specific case.
And on top of all that, it has to look pretty!
Here's an example, with a before/after comparison of the employee recruitment menu.
On espère pouvoir vous convaincre d’avoir réussi à bien appréhender tous ces aspects.

On May 13, 2026, a new live test session began on our Discord server.
Players from the Acornia community were able to try the game in a more advanced version than during the last session, and send us their feedback.

It's always exciting to see players interacting with the game, often in unexpected ways. Working on a project for so long can create blind spots, and this experience helps fill them.
It's also how we realize that there are as many ways to play as there are players. Some reported bugs can only be identified by players who go off the beaten path — the same path we, as developers, are used to taking.
Anyway, the main thing for us is to give every player the tools to have fun, no matter which approach they choose.
And also, words of encouragement are always very much appreciated! If you'd like to participate in the next live test session, you can click on this form.
Your help is greatly appreciated, and you'll be playing an active role in making Acornia a great game!

It's hard to say where this mouse comes from — the one who always looks like he's running from something… or someone.
One way or another, he manages to get his hands on fruits that even the most skilled farmers couldn't grow from the ground.
They don't particularly appreciate this competition, which they see as unfair, and they'd like to uncover the truth behind his rather questionable methods.
Despite that, people often turn to Roncel when they need special goods, turning a blind eye to his shady stories.

We had to hold ourselves back from showing you even more. Believe us, the project has evolved dramatically in the time between this devlog and the very first edition, almost two years ago.
